Health and Safety Initiatives

Furukawa Battery has established a company-wide safety and health activity policy every fiscal year and is promoting company-wide initiatives.

Based on this policy, we are focusing on "pursuit of intrinsic safety (construction of a mechanism to ensure safety, etc.)," "improvement of the safety level of each employee through communication," "improvement of the work environment of each workplace," and "maintenance of the mental and physical health of employees."

Furukawa Battery formulated "Furukawa Battery Health and Productivity Management Declaration" in November 2020.

In addition, by establishing a health management promotion system, we are further expanding our past health and safety activities and accelerating company-wide efforts to promote employee health.

The Furukawa Battery. Co., Ltd has made "the health of our employees is an important foundation" a management issue and has been working on it as part of our health and safety management. Going forward, we will strengthen industrial health by promoting activities that are conscious of health management.

Safe and comfortable working environment built through labor-management cooperation

Communication between labor and management is crucial to achieve smooth management and business development while improving working conditions at the same time.
Furukawa Battery provides the following opportunities for dialogue between labor and management in an effort to deepen mutual trust.

 

  • Central management briefings: explanations about business plans and financial results (twice a year)
  • Divisional labor-management meetings: briefings on monthly results held at the divisional level (once a month)
  • Labor-management subcommittee meetings: discussions to achieve a comfortable working environment (once a month)
  • Labor-management health and safety patrols: workplace patrols conducted by top labor and management representatives, and reviews of health and safety activities (twice a year)
